Individual Therapy

Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety and depression are two of the most common — and most misunderstood — experiences people face. You might feel like you should be able to "just push through it," but the truth is these are real conditions that deserve real support.

Working together, we'll identify the thought patterns and behaviors that are keeping you stuck, and build practical tools to help you feel more like yourself again. Whether it's persistent worry, low mood, panic, or a sense of numbness — you don't have to keep carrying this alone.

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and strengths-based techniques, I'll tailor our sessions to what actually works for you.

Relationships

Family & Relationship Issues

Our relationships — with partners, parents, children, and siblings — shape so much of who we are and how we feel day to day. When those relationships are strained, it affects everything.

I work with individuals navigating difficult family dynamics, couples facing communication breakdowns, and families trying to find their footing again after conflict or change. Whether you're dealing with a painful divorce, intergenerational tension, marital struggles, or a breakdown in trust — there is a path forward.

Through Family Systems Therapy, Relational Therapy, and Solution-Focused approaches, we'll work on communication, boundaries, and rebuilding genuine connection.

Women's Wellness

Women's Issues

Women face a unique set of pressures — cultural expectations, career demands, relationship roles, body image, and the weight of often being everything to everyone while quietly carrying their own pain.

I provide a warm, affirming space specifically for women to explore what they're going through — without judgment and without needing to minimize their experience. Whether you're navigating pregnancy, postpartum changes, infertility, self-esteem, identity, or the invisible weight of cultural expectations, you deserve to be fully heard.

My approach is person-centered and strengths-based — focused on helping you reconnect with your own power and sense of self.

Life Transitions & Grief

Change — even positive change — can be profoundly disorienting. And loss? Loss can shake the very ground beneath you. Whether you're grieving a person, a relationship, a career, or a version of your life you thought you'd have, your pain is real and it deserves space.

I work with clients navigating major life transitions: becoming a parent, divorce, job loss, retirement, health challenges, or the loss of someone they love. Grief doesn't follow a timeline, and neither do our sessions.

Through Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy, we'll help you process what's happened and find a way forward that honors where you've been.

Teens & Families

Adolescent & Family Therapy

Teenagers are navigating enormous pressures — academic stress, social dynamics, identity questions, family conflict, and a world that moves faster than ever. Sometimes what looks like "acting out" is really a young person who doesn't have the words yet for what they're feeling.

I work with adolescents, children, and families to create space for honest communication, address behavioral challenges, and build stronger relationships between parents and kids. When families struggle, everyone feels it — and when families heal, everyone benefits.

I bring a culturally sensitive lens to my work with families, understanding that family roles and expectations vary significantly across cultures — including the unique dynamics many South Asian families navigate.

Evidence-Based

CBT & Mindfulness

The way we think shapes the way we feel — and the way we feel shapes how we move through the world. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most well-researched approaches in mental health, and for good reason: it works.

Combined with mindfulness practices, we'll work on slowing down the mental noise, challenging the thoughts that aren't serving you, and building a more grounded, present-focused way of living. This isn't about thinking positively — it's about thinking clearly and compassionately.

I draw from CBT, DBT, MBCT, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction depending on what fits your needs and goals.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

Have a question that isn't answered here? Don't hesitate to reach out — I'm happy to chat before you commit to anything.

What can I expect from my first session?
The first session is really about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what's been going on for you, what brought you to therapy, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with — we go at your pace. Think of it as a conversation, not an interview.
Do you offer virtual sessions and how do they work?
All sessions are conducted virtually via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll receive a link before each session. All you need is a private space, a device with a camera, and a stable internet connection. Virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person — and a lot more convenient.
Do you accept insurance?
Please reach out directly to discuss insurance and payment options. I'm happy to answer any questions about fees before we get started.
Do you have experience working with South Asian clients?
Yes. I understand the unique cultural dynamics many South Asian individuals and families navigate — family expectations, intergenerational conflict, identity, marriage pressure, and the stigma around mental health in our communities. You'll find a space here that genuinely gets it. All backgrounds are warmly welcomed.
Do you offer sessions in languages other than English?
Yes — I offer sessions in Gujarati as well as English. For clients who feel more at ease expressing themselves in Gujarati, especially when discussing complex emotions or deeply personal cultural topics, I'm happy to accommodate that. Language should never be a barrier to getting the support you deserve.
How long does therapy usually take?
It depends on your goals and what you're working through. Some clients find 8–12 focused sessions gives them the tools they need. Others prefer longer-term support. We'll check in regularly and adjust as needed — you're always in control of the pace.
What if I don't feel a connection with my therapist?
The therapeutic relationship is everything. I encourage open, honest feedback. If at any point it doesn't feel like the right fit, just say so. I'd rather help you find the right support than keep you in sessions that don't serve you.
Is everything I share kept confidential?
Yes. Everything shared in our sessions is strictly confidential and protected by law. There are a small number of legal exceptions — such as imminent risk of harm — which I'll explain during our first session. Your privacy and trust are foundational to our work together.
